Sewickley Tavern Project Earns AIA Award by Setting a Higher Bar

The jury commented, "This project is a great example of responsible design that raises expectations for performance, particularly air quality. [...] The use of metrics suggests real potential for learning and advancing sustainability on future projects"

As the Building Performance Consultant on the project, AUROS Group used building science and data science to prove to the owners that they got the performance that was designed and paid for. Sewickley Tavern is the first RESET Air certified restaurant in the world and RESET Air certification requires that data is liberated from proprietary building automation systems and dynamically shared with stakeholders.
