"This building represents the very best of what we're working towards with our City-owned facilities," said Mayor Ed Gainey. "It's a symbol of how we take care of our people, the first responders who show up for us every day, and the residents they serve. With this project, we're investing in public safety, sustainability, and neighborhood pride, all at one."
What most practitioners now know is that it doesn't have to cost a construction premium to build or renovate high-performance buildings to reduce operating costs, improve occupant health & comfort, and protect the environment. What it does take is a confident and experience team. Under the exceptional project leadership of James Lennon, ae7, we were delighted to work with Manns Woodward Architects, Allen & Shariff (MEP Engineering), Caliber Contracting (General Contractor) and Larson Design Group (Construction Management).
Congratulations to Mayor Gainey and the City of Pittsburgh's Department of Public Works for this impressive achievement.
